Shocking footage has emerged of a man being violently kicked and punched by a gang of hooded thugs in Glasgow city centre. The assault took place on Howard Street behind St Enoch Shopping Centre, outside the Paradise Street Food restaurant.
Harrowing Attack in Broad Daylight
A clip circulating online shows a group of around a dozen men, dressed all in black and concealed by hoods, beating the victim in broad daylight. The mob can be seen laying into the man, kicking and punching his head as he falls to the ground.
Terrified onlookers can be heard begging the mob to "leave the boy alone," but they continue battering him. One brave individual even attempts to step in and stop the horror but is ultimately unable to stop the assault.
Police Investigation Underway
The footage was first shared on social media on 16 June 2026, but it is not yet known when the attack took place. Police Scotland say they are aware of the footage and urge witnesses to come forward with information. An investigation is underway to identify the culprits.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "On Tuesday, 16 June, 2026, we were made aware of a video online of a disturbance on Howard Street, Glasgow. Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police quoting incident 0494 of 16 June, 2026."
