A man has been arrested on suspicion of pushing a woman in front of a double-decker bus in a case that has become known as the 'Putney Pusher' incident.
Arrest Made in 2017 Bridge Attack
Police hunting the infamous 'Putney Pusher' have arrested a man. A jogger was caught on CCTV pushing a stranger into the path of a bus on London's Putney Bridge in 2017.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: 'On Monday, 15 June, a 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm. He was taken to police custody, where he remains. The arrest relates to an incident on 5 May 2017, where a woman was pushed into the path of a bus on Putney Bridge in Putney. Inquiries continue.'
