A 50-year-old man has been left with serious injuries after a corrosive substance was thrown over him in a UK city.
The man was attacked in the Rathlin Street area of Govan, Glasgow at around 3am on Sunday, July 19. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police appeal for information
The incident is believed to have been targeted and detectives are appealing for information after the attack.
The suspect is described as a white male, aged in his late thirties to early forties, around 5ft11 in height and of medium build. He had dark brown/black hair which was curly at the top and shorter at the sides.
"We believe this was a targeted incident and we are asking anyone who was in the area at the time, saw what happened or heard a disturbance, to get in touch," said Detective Constable Mark Garner.
"I am also asking anyone who has private CCTV or doorbell footage in the area to review this for anything which may assist our enquiries."
