Emergency services are at the scene of a major incident in Shoreham, West Sussex, with coastguard helicopters and ambulances sighted in the coastal town.
Lifeboats launched
A spokesperson from the RNLI said lifeboat crews were launched from Shoreham at about 2.50pm on Tuesday afternoon, though it is not confirmed what the nature of the incident is. Two other lifeboats were also launched from the Brighton lifeboat station shortly after 3pm.
Emergency response at the port
Images show multiple ambulances and police vehicles at the scene, with two air ambulances landed by the port. A helicopter has been seen at the beach in Shoreham.
