Four people have been found guilty in connection with the stabbing death of a man in Banbury, Oxfordshire, in what police described as a 'love triangle' killing. Keith Green, 40, was fatally stabbed in the back garden of his home on Howard Road on 13 February.
Mark Meadows, 25, and Travis Gorton, 20, were convicted of murder at Oxford Crown Court. Louise Grieve, 38, and a teenage girl were found guilty of manslaughter. A fifth defendant, Callum Johnson, 21, was acquitted of all charges.
Detectives said the attack followed 'significant planning' and that messages between Meadows, Grieve and the youth revealed a plot to remove the victim. The motive centred on a love triangle, with Grieve involved with Meadows while living with Green.
Detective Chief Inspector Jon Capps said: 'This was a horrific incident, which occurred just before midnight the day before St Valentine's Day. Keith could have had no idea what was to happen to him on that evening.'
Meadows and Gorton were also convicted of possessing a bladed article in a public place. The four convicted defendants are due to be sentenced on 6 January.
