The family of a 70-year-old Liverpool woman who died in a crash in Chester has paid tribute to her, saying their lives have been 'ripped apart'. Carol Tinsley was pronounced dead at the scene following a collision involving a grey Cupra Born and a black Kia Sportage.

Crash Details

At 11.33pm on Friday, July 10, Cheshire Police were called to Parkgate Road at the junction with Welsh Road in Chester. The collision involved a grey Cupra Born and a black Kia Sportage. Carol Tinsley, a passenger in the Kia, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Injuries and Hospitalisation

The driver of the Kia and two other passengers suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital. A fourth passenger sustained minor injuries. The driver of the Cupra was uninjured. No arrests have been made, and enquiries remain ongoing.

Family Tribute

In a statement issued via Cheshire Police, Carol's family said: 'Our family has been shattered and ripped apart with the loss of our beautiful, selfless, amazing Carol, and we were all blessed to be a part of her life. We are all truly heartbroken and ask for privacy at this very sad time.'
