Lebanese President Aoun Refuses to Meet Netanyahu Before War Ends
Lebanese President Won't Meet Netanyahu Until War Ends

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has declared that he will not meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu until an agreement is reached to end the ongoing war. In a statement to CNN, Aoun emphasized that a military solution will never provide security for northern Israel.

Call for Negotiation

Aoun stressed that there is no alternative but to negotiate. He expressed hope that President Donald Trump's personal interest in ending the conflict could be leveraged to achieve a resolution. 'We are trying to take advantage of President Trump's personal interest in ending this conflict,' Aoun said.

Proposed Agreements

The Lebanese president outlined that what is being proposed is either a non-aggression agreement or a security agreement. However, he clarified that any peace agreement would be part of the broader Arab Initiative, indicating Lebanon's commitment to regional diplomatic frameworks.
