A Place In The Sun presenter Laura Hamilton has warned holidaymakers to be careful in the sea after witnessing the tragic death of a young man while filming for the Channel 4 show.
The 44-year-old said she took a walk along the beach after filming ended and encountered "a lot of commotion". She saw paramedics trying to resuscitate someone, later learning the victim was a 19-year-old boy who died despite their efforts.

Posting on Instagram on Friday morning, Laura said she had hardly slept because her "mind racing" as she relived the incident. "I can't begin to imagine what that poor boy's family are thinking and feeling this morning," she added.
She warned: "Obviously lots of people are going on their summer holidays right now, so you know, just be really mindful when you're in the sea of currents, if you're letting your children go into the sea, even as a grown up going into the sea, just be careful."
Life is short
Laura said the tragedy reminded her that "life is short" and urged people to treasure loved ones because "nobody knows what tomorrow holds".
