A 56-year-old man sustained serious injuries after an assault on Machan Road in Larkhall. Police are appealing for witnesses.
The incident occurred around 5.30pm on Monday, July 27, when the victim was walking on Machan Road and was approached by two males who attacked him.
Victim hospitalised with serious injuries
The man attended hospital for treatment to serious injuries. One of the suspects is described as having brown hair; no further descriptions are available at this stage.
Detective Constable Muhammad Yas said: "Enquiries are ongoing to trace those involved in this incident, and we are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward."
Appeal for CCTV and dash-cam footage
DC Yas added: "I am also appealing to anyone in the local area who has private CCTV or dash-cam footage to review this to see if it has captured anything that could assist with our investigation."
