Angie Marcela Ramírez Vargas, a 27-year-old influencer, was shot dead at point-blank range while driving her luxury Toyota Land Cruiser Prado in Pitalito, Colombia. The attack occurred moments after she left a gym on Friday night (24 Jul).
She was waiting at red lights outside the Gran Plaza San Antonio shopping centre when a motorcyclist pulled up and opened fire. Despite being hit multiple times, she managed to drive about 100 metres before losing control and stopping. Emergency services rushed her to hospital, but she died minutes later from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police Response and Capture
Police quickly launched a major pursuit and cordoned off the area. Officers later confiscated a motorcycle and a firearm believed to be used in the attack. One suspect, a 48-year-old man, was found hiding in undergrowth after a dramatic chase. He is suspected of being the passenger who fired the fatal shots.
The second attacker escaped on foot along a riverbank and remains at large.
Police chief Colonel Javier Alberto said: "We set up an operational device and, thanks to the immediate reaction of our officers, we achieved the capture in the act of a 48-year-old man after a wide pursuit."

Angie was known for sharing glamorous photos of her travels, family gatherings, and daily life online. Friends described her as a businesswoman and model who shared her aspirations and memorable moments with her followers.
Detectives continue to investigate the motive and are searching for the outstanding suspect.
