A major search operation is underway for a 13-year-old boy who reportedly got into difficulty while swimming off the East Yorkshire coast. Emergency services, including HM Coastguard and Humberside Police, were called to Hornsea at about 6pm on August 4.
Emergency Response
Chief Superintendent Phil Booker of Humberside Police said: "After receiving the report, officers were immediately deployed alongside other emergency services and upon attending, it was discovered that a 13-year-old boy had reportedly got into difficulty whilst swimming in the water."
Specialist Police Search Advisors (POLSA), along with the Marine Unit and drone pilots, have been deployed to conduct an extensive search and rescue operation. The RNLI is also among the crews in attendance.
