Firefighters were called to a blaze on Liverpool Street in Salford after reports of a fire outside an industrial building. Crews from Moss Side and Salford stations attended the scene at around 4.50pm on Tuesday 29 September.
Three vehicles involved
Fire crews found that the blaze involved three vehicles at the rear of the building. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and then made the area safe.
Crews in attendance for over an hour
Crews were in attendance for just over an hour before the area was declared safe. The incident came after an alert that a fire had been reported near Regent Retail Park on Ordsall Lane.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At around 4.50pm on Tuesday 29 September, our crews were called to reports of a fire outside an industrial building on Liverpool Street, Salford.
“Three fire engines from Salford and Moss Side stations quickly attended the incident, which involved three vehicles to the rear of the building.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and then made the area safe.
“Fire crews were in attendance for just over an hour.”
