Firefighters are battling a house fire on Titchfield Street in Galston, Ayrshire, after flames engulfed the property's roof.
Crews dispatched to the scene
Emergency crews rushed to the scene this afternoon. An alarm was raised around 3.07pm after the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service received a report of a house fire. Three fire engines and an aerial appliance were dispatched to the location.
No casualties reported
It is understood that no casualties have been reported. Images from the scene showed the entire roof in an inferno, with thick black smoke billowing into the sky. Beams holding up the structure could be seen as the fire destroyed much of the roof.
Fire service statement
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We received a report of a house fire on Titchfield Street in Galston around 3.07pm. Three appliances and an aerial were mobilised. Crews are still in attendance at the scene. There are no reported casualties at this time."
