Emergency services are at the scene of a large fire at the former Ysgol Y Graig primary school site in Merthyr Tydfil. Thick grey smoke and large flames have been seen rising from the building in the Cefn Coed area.
Residents Advised to Stay Indoors
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS) is advising locals to keep doors and windows closed due to smoke in the area. A statement from the service said: "We are currently a fire at the old Ysgol-y-Graig school building in Cefn-Coed Merthyr. Residents are advised to close windows and doors due to smoke in the area. Please avoid the area to allow emergency services to deal with the incident."
