A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6pm on Sunday, July 12, officers received a report of a disturbance on High Street, Cowdenbeath. One man was taken to hospital for treatment. A 46-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection and was released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date.”

The Scottish Ambulance Service was contacted for comment but has not yet responded.
