The American dream vacation turned into an unimaginable nightmare for Thomas John Pizzitola, a 38-year-old father-of-three from Texas, who lost his life in a senseless single-punch attack during a night out in Arizona.
A Celebration Turns to Tragedy
Thomas had travelled to Scottsdale, Arizona with friends for what should have been a memorable getaway. The group were celebrating their time together at the popular Riot House bar on October 1st when a minor altercation escalated into fatal violence.
According to police reports and witness statements, the confrontation began inside the establishment before spilling out onto the street. What happened next would change multiple families forever.
The Fatal Blow
Security footage from the scene shows Thomas being struck just once by another man, identified as 22-year-old Jacob Daniel Evans. The single punch caused Pizzitola to fall backwards, striking his head on the concrete pavement with devastating force.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and transported the critically injured father to hospital, where he was placed on life support. Tragically, he never regained consciousness and was declared dead on October 4th, leaving behind three young children and a devastated family.

Thomas Pizzitola was described by loved ones as a devoted family man who worked as a sales director in the construction industry. His brother Michael remembered him as "the life of the party" who "would do anything for anybody."
