Firefighters have been tackling a massive blaze at a warehouse in Harwich, Essex, throughout the night, with the building now 'fully alight'.
Blaze on Stour Road
Essex County Fire & Rescue Service was called to the property on Stour Road at approximately 3.36am and dispatched around 35 firefighters to the scene.
Thick smoke is billowing from the building, leading the fire service to advise local residents to keep their windows and doors shut.
Community Impact
One woman reported on Facebook that the fire had covered her entire garden in 'hot ash'.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said they had received numerous calls from people reporting smoke in the Ipswich and Felixstowe area, but clarified that the smoke originated from Harwich, on the other side of the River Orwell estuary.
