Ellesmere Port Nursery Crash: Boy, 2, Seriously Injured
A two-year-old boy has been left seriously injured, and two other children have been hurt, after a car ploughed into a nursery playground in Ellesmere Port. The incident occurred at around 9.54am on Monday, June 15, when Cheshire Police officers responded to reports of a crash at a nursery school on Vale Road in the Whitby area of the town.
Emergency services, including North West Ambulance Service, attended the scene. Witnesses reported seeing two ambulances, an air ambulance, a fire engine, and four police vehicles, including an armed response vehicle. The car had driven through a fence and into the playground area of the nursery.
Partou Sunny Days Nursery and Pre-school confirmed they were dealing with an incident. A 63-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. A reporter is on their way to the scene, and further updates are expected.
