At least seven people, including three children, were killed when a drone crashed and exploded on a beach in southern Russia, according to reports.
The incident occurred in Arkhipo-Osipovka, a popular resort town, where the unmanned device dive-bombed onto sunbathers. Forty people were injured, with 21 taken to hospital.
No warning sirens heard
Beachgoers claimed no warning sirens were sounded before the explosion, and some sheltered under sun loungers as the drone struck. Temperatures had reached 29°C at the time.
The drone was described as "downed" by officials, but it crashed into the crowded beach area, causing the deadly blast.
