A driver ploughed into multiple parked cars in Birmingham before fleeing the scene on foot, causing chaos in the city centre. The incident occurred on Wheelwright Road in Erdington shortly before 11.30pm on Friday, with two men seen leaving the area after the collision.
An eyewitness walking his dog at the time reported seeing a vehicle speeding past and slamming into 'a bunch of parked cars'. He described the scene as 'chaos' and expressed concern that lives could have been at risk due to the negligent driver. The witness also claimed to have found drugs at the scene, which he handed over to police.
West Midlands Police confirmed they were called to a road traffic collision involving multiple vehicles on Wheelwright Road, Tyburn. A spokesman said there were no reported injuries, but two men from one of the vehicles had left the scene. Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
