Two people were left with serious injuries following a two-car crash on the A82 near the Falls of Falloch, a popular beauty spot, on Wednesday morning. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Crash details
The collision occurred at approximately 11:50am on Wednesday, August 5, involving a white Peugeot 3008 and a turquoise Toyota Yaris. It took place on the A82 between Crianlarich and Tarbet, near the well-known tourist destination.
Emergency services responded to the scene. A man and a woman from one of the vehicles were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment. The man and woman from the second car were taken to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with injuries described as serious.
Road closure and appeal
The road was closed while an investigation was carried out, and it was reopened to traffic approximately seven hours later.
Constable Gary Barkham said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash and who hasn’t already spoken to officers to contact us. I would also ask anyone with dash cam footage or who may have seen either car prior to the crash to get in touch.”
