Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) makes a horrifying discovery in Monday's Coronation Street (August 10) when he finds his cousin Richie's wife Rachel dead, setting off a new murder investigation.
Tim's shocking find
After helping Richie (Nathan Sussex) try to reconcile with Rachel, Tim finds Richie's wallet and returns it to his house. Richie answers the door with blood on his shirt, and Tim forces his way in, demanding to know where Rachel is. In the back room, he finds her body and turns to Richie in horror.
Richie arrested
Later this week, Tim and Sally (Sally Dynevor) receive a visit from DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers), who tells them Richie has been arrested for Rachel's murder. Tim is left reeling, knowing he encouraged Richie to make amends with Rachel, only for her to end up dead.
