Emergency services were called to Pratt Street in Kirkcaldy, near to the Raith Rovers FC's Stark's Park, following a three-vehicle crash in the early hours of Wednesday morning, August 12.
Crash leaves car on its side
Photos taken at the scene showed the extreme damage caused to two of the cars involved, with one left on its side blocking the pavement. The dark-coloured car appears to have flipped over in the collision, coming to rest just inches away from a garden wall.
Another photo showed a white Audi mangled in the middle of the road. The front corner of the car has been destroyed, leaving bodywork crumpled and one wheel at a jaunty angle. Inside the car, which has its hazard lights on, the airbags can be seen to have deployed as a result of the impact.
Police launch probe
A number of police vehicles could be seen with blue lights illuminating the morning sky. The force has launched a probe into the incident. It is not known if anyone was injured as a result of the crash.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.25am on Wednesday, August 12, we were called to a report of a crash on Pratt Street, Kirkcaldy. Enquiries are ongoing."
