Three children have been injured, one seriously, after a car crashed through a fence into a nursery playground in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. The incident occurred at Partou Sunny Days Nursery and Pre-school on Vale Road in the Whitby area at approximately 9:54 am on June 15, 2026.

Incident Details

Cheshire Police responded to reports of a crash at the nursery school. A grey Omoda vehicle smashed through a painted green fence into the children's play area. Witnesses reported seeing two ambulances, an air ambulance, a fire engine, and four police vehicles, including an armed response vehicle, at the scene.

Injuries and Arrest

A two-year-old boy sustained serious injuries, while two other children were also hurt. A 63-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The vehicle involved is being removed from the scene.
