Three British women, two of them teenagers, have reported being sexually assaulted by a man at a hotel in Valencia's Camins al Grau neighbourhood. In one incident, the suspect allegedly pretended to work at the establishment.
Arrest Made
Spanish police have arrested a 32-year-old Tunisian man on suspicion of three separate sexual assaults against the British holidaymakers. The suspect is believed to have been a guest at the hostel where the attacks occurred.
Details of the Assaults
The first incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, June 9, when a 33-year-old British woman was cleaning her teeth in the women's bathroom. She told police that the same man targeted her there.
The second and third assaults occurred just before 2:30 a.m. on Monday, June 10. Two British women, aged 18 and 19, arrived at the hostel in an Uber. The suspect opened the door, pretending to be a staff member, and convinced them to follow him to the men's bathroom. There, he allegedly sexually assaulted them by touching their private parts and buttocks after a struggle.
The victims managed to escape and alerted police, who arrived and arrested the suspect.
