A quiet residential street in Bristol has been rocked by tragedy after a 15-year-old boy was shot dead in what police believe was a domestic-related incident.
The victim, whose identity hasn't been formally released, was pronounced dead at the scene on Blaise Walk, in the Henleaze area, despite the efforts of emergency services who responded to reports of a firearms discharge around 11:20 pm on Saturday.
Brother Arrested in Connection
In a devastating turn of events, a 22-year-old man described as the victim's brother has been arrested on suspicion of murder. The suspect remains in police custody as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the teenage boy's death.
Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed they're not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident, describing it as 'domestic-related'.
Community in Shock
Residents of the normally peaceful neighbourhood expressed their horror and disbelief. One local resident described hearing what sounded like fireworks before realising something more serious had occurred.
Forensic teams have been conducting extensive examinations at the property while police officers maintain a presence in the area, offering reassurance to concerned neighbours.
