Bride-to-Be Killed in Greece Crash Days Before Wedding

A bride-to-be celebrating her hen do has been killed in a horror crash in Greece, just days before she was due to be married. Sara Ceccantini, 37, died on Monday in Mykonos, one of the country's most famous islands. One of her friends was left with serious injuries.

Details of the Incident

The mother-of-one's death was confirmed by her employers, Prada’s Valvigna factory. Meanwhile, police in Greece are investigating the crash but limited information has been released. Italian media reported that another vehicle crossed into Sara's path, with authorities believed to have opened a case of vehicular homicide. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the mother was transported to a hospital in Athens in a critical condition, according to The Sun.

She sadly died just hours later. Work friends said she had worked at the factory for years, which has closed for a period of mourning as a mark of respect.

Family and Community Mourn

Sara had lived with her partner Luca Bugialli, 34, in Arezzo and had a three-year-old daughter. Bugialli is the son of the owner of a successful business in the municipality of San Giovanni Valdarno, according to TG24 Sky. Their wedding was planned for next Saturday, La Milano reported. Arezzo Mayor Marcello Comanducci has expressed his condolences for her death.

“This news leaves us speechless,” he said. “The tragic passing of Sara Ceccantini has profoundly affected our entire community. A young life cut short too soon, just as she was preparing to experience one of the most beautiful moments of her life.” Comanducci expressed his “deepest sympathy to her family, her loved ones, and all those who loved her.”

Ongoing Investigation
