A 17-year-old boy and two men have died following a car crash in Rotherham. South Yorkshire Police were called to reports of a single-vehicle collision on Denaby Lane at 11.39pm on Saturday, August 8.
Crash details
Officers say that a grey Seat Cupra Leon was travelling towards Kilnhurst when it left the carriageway. Despite the efforts of emergency services, a 17-year-old boy and two men, aged 21 and 23, were pronounced dead at the scene. Another 17-year-old teenage boy was taken to hospital with minor injuries, police say.
Police appeal
A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: 'Their families have been informed and are being supported by officers. A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital with minor injuries.'
'An investigation is underway and we are now asking for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dash cam footage that could assist with our enquiries, to come forward. If you can help, please report online or call 101, quoting incident number 1235 of 8 August 2026.'
