Boy, 13, Hospitalized After Anfield Electric Scooter Crash

A 13-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after a crash involving an electric scooter and a parked car in Anfield. A police cordon has closed off Oakfield Road in both directions following the incident.

Emergency services were called to the scene in L4 at around 1:35 pm on Sunday, June 14. Merseyside Police confirmed that the scooter rider, a 13-year-old boy, was taken by ambulance to hospital for assessment of serious injuries.

Officers remain in the area conducting house-to-house, CCTV, and other enquiries to establish the circumstances. Road closures are in place between the junctions of Oakfield Road with Kemp Avenue and Oakfield Road with St Domingo Vale. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Merseytravel has confirmed diversions are in place for bus services 26 and 27, diverting via Breck Road and St Domingo Road in both directions. There is no timescale for how long the diversions will remain.
