Four people arrested after a shooting at a Birmingham nightclub have been released on bail, police said. The incident occurred at Mango nightclub on Bristol Street at around 3am on Saturday, leaving four people injured.
A 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder was bailed on Sunday, along with three women in their 20s and 30s held on suspicion of violent disorder. The women were arrested after a car was stopped on the M6 in Warwickshire shortly after the shooting.
One man remains in hospital in a critical condition, while two other men are being treated for less serious injuries. A woman initially believed to have been shot is now thought to have been injured when she fell during the disturbance; she has been discharged from hospital.
West Midlands Police said the nightclub remains closed and they are reviewing licensing powers. Detective Inspector Rachael Allen urged anyone with information to come forward, particularly those inside the venue or who may have captured footage.
