Beckhams Left in the Dark Over Brooklyn's Latest Stunt in DoorDash Ad
Beckhams Unaware of Brooklyn's DoorDash Ad Mocking Family Rift

There was a time when David and Victoria Beckham rarely had to wonder what their eldest son was doing. For years, they supported each new phase, whether Brooklyn saw himself as a photographer, writer, chef, or even a hot sauce entrepreneur.

Nowadays, however, they often piece together his life through social media updates and gossip. The latest sign of this growing distance came on Monday evening. Like many others, they watched online as Brooklyn appeared in a DoorDash advertisement that seemed to mock the family split.

They had absolutely no idea, one friend claimed. That is the reality now... they often find things out when everyone else does.

An Information Vacuum

The incident is the latest example of what those close to the family describe as an increasingly distressing information vacuum around Brooklyn. David and Victoria increasingly feel they are witnessing major developments in their son's life from a distance, with one friend comparing it to surviving on scraps of information, reports the Mirror.

They said: They hear fragments about what Brooklyn is doing... but it is practically impossible. They worry, as they have from the start, that he is being isolated. There is an occasional text to the grandparents, but that is about it.

Nicola's Influence Questioned

The belief that Nicola Peltz has an unhealthy influence over Brooklyn has been a recurring theme over the past year, a charge that Brooklyn's camp has consistently denied. He is very much his own man, they have assured me repeatedly.

But after Brooklyn's prominent role in an advertisement that mocks his family's troubles, suspicion has once again fallen on Nicola. One source revealed: There is a general concern that Nicola is calling the shots and pushing him out to make money... and he is too naive to realize the damage it is doing. It is just really sad and confusing why he would do this, and it goes against everything they have said about wanting peace and privacy.

Veiled Digs in the Ad

In the advertisement, Brooklyn addresses the camera: You are probably wondering why I am watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home... A grinning Brooklyn then chuckles: It is a long story.

On the surface, those remarks alone were disappointing enough for the family. But a closer look reveals a wealth of veiled digs that make matters even more distressing. A pile of unopened letters lies on a coffee table, a rather obvious hint at his family's desperate attempts to make contact. Brooklyn has previously faced criticism for continuing to wear his Patek Philippe Nautilus watch, a 21st birthday gift from his father. Perhaps in an effort to distance himself from this connection, he places a different timepiece on the coffee table. There is also a snow globe, possibly depicting a London scene with a red bus, which supporters think might be a nod to his mother.

Victoria has spoken fondly in the past about her treasured handmade snow globes, which were gifts from her children during Elton John's wedding. A source revealed: It goes without saying, but this all feels a little cruel. He knows his parents, in particular, have been hit for six by the estrangement. Who on earth thought it was a good look to trade off the family heartache?

Family's Response

Brooklyn's apparent willingness to twist the knife stands in stark contrast to his family's approach. When father David was asked about the rift at the unveiling of his Hollywood star, he politely declined to respond. To be honest, I am sorry to stop you there, but that is a private matter, David said. That is the one thing I do not want to talk about.

His brother Romeo was similarly questioned in the street about the estrangement by a photographer, to which he simply replied: We love him. We love him.

Whether they would remain quite so forgiving in public following last week's events, however, remains to be seen.

Allegations of Staged Photos

This follows Brooklyn's PR team releasing an extraordinary statement alleging that the Beckhams had orchestrated paparazzi shots of Harper turning up at Brooklyn's residence. The 14-year-old was photographed trying to deliver a message to her brother just hours after the Hollywood ceremony, before discovering he was not at home. That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all; this was choreographed for the cameras, came the scathing response from Brooklyn and his wife's publicist.

Behind closed doors, the allegation left the family, and Harper, utterly devastated. Understandably, it has also left them more than a little livid. It is a bit rich given Nicola has been accused of staging pictures before, reveals a friend. It is also unbelievable when they are willing to throw a child under a bus. We are talking about a little sister merely dropping off a note because she has no contact and misses him. Brooklyn is increasingly isolated from reality.

Concerns for the Future

There are worries among the Beckhams' inner circle that Brooklyn's campaign against his family will continue. Ominously, the DoorDash advertisement promised more soon.

The friend added: Both Nicola and Brooklyn's careers have not really taken off... and if they were really honest with themselves, this feud is the only thing they are known for. Worryingly, it is something they can monetize... and as this advert shows, they have no qualms about doing so.
