Armed police swarmed a residential street in Bangor on Christmas Eve following a violent double stabbing that has left one victim fighting for their life.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed they were called to the Chippendale Avenue area of Bangor on the evening of Wednesday, 24th December 2025. Officers, including armed response units, rushed to the scene after reports of a serious assault.
Emergency services, including the Air Ambulance, attended the location. Two injured individuals were subsequently transported to hospital for urgent treatment. One of the victims remains in a critical condition, according to an official police statement issued that night.
