Four people charged with the murder of a newborn baby girl, identified only as Baby S, have been pictured leaving Sheffield Magistrates Court for the first time. The infant was found dead in an outhouse on Sunday, August 30.
Slovakian nationals Andrea Skopova, 20, Peter Horvath Jnr, 19, Peter Horvath Snr, 38, and Nina Horvathova, 37, face charges of murder and perverting the course of justice. A 15-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged with perverting the course of justice only.
Body found in outhouse
Prosecutor Luke Hopkinson told the magistrates' court on Wednesday, September 2, that Baby S's body was found wrapped in a towel and in a blue bag in an outbuilding at an address in Holywell Heights, in the Wincobank area of Sheffield. The body was discovered on top of a washing machine.
The four adult defendants are also charged with causing or allowing the death of a child. Horvath Jnr, Horvath Snr and Horvathova, all of Holywell Heights, and Skopova, of Robey Street, Grimesthorpe, Sheffield, are accused of cleaning the scene of the alleged crime.

Mr Hopkinson said the baby's mother is the defendant Andrea Skopova, and the father is unknown. Skopova is the girlfriend of Horvath Jnr, who is the son of the other two adult defendants. Mr Hopkinson said Horvath Jnr is not believed to be the father.
The prosecutor said Baby S had suffered 33 wounds from 15 separate stabbings, with injuries to her face and torso, front and back.
The defendants were remanded in custody and are due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday, September 3. Two women, aged 26 and 37, who were arrested on suspicion of murder, remain on bail.
