A fire tore through an abandoned pub and hotel in West Lothian on Monday night, with emergency services taping off the scene.

Fire crews were initially called to the former Fairway Hotel in Bathgate just before 8pm on August 10, followed by officers from Police Scotland. Two appliances attended, with firefighters remaining on scene at Edinburgh Road for nearly an hour until the blaze was extinguished.
Pictures from the scene also show a police car blocking the neighbouring road, with a cordon stretching across the street.
No casualties reported
No casualties have been reported. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 19.58 to attend a confirmed building fire. We sent two fire appliances to a disused pub building. There were no casualties, and the fire was extinguished before the scene was handed over to Police Scotland. Crews left the scene at 20.57.”
