A woman who died in a crash in Liverpool has been named as Kelly Marie Lundie, 38, as tributes described her as a 'beautiful soul' and a 'gorgeous person inside and out'.
Emergency services were called to Allerton Road, at the junction of High Street, in Woolton, at 11.30pm on Friday, September 4. A red Nissan Juke had veered off the road and crashed into a brick wall. A white Vauxhall Astra was also involved in the collision. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Kelly was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tributes to 'beautiful soul'
Floral tributes were left at the scene while officers carried out enquiries, with a cordon still in place on Saturday morning. Friends paid tribute on the Liverpool Echo's Facebook page. Lill Connor Willman said: "I can’t believe you're gone Kel. I will treasure our memories we had forever! You wore your heart on your sleeve and will be truly missed. RIP sweet Kel. Love always and forever your Lill."
Stacey Kirwinn said: "Such a beautiful girl inside and out. Thinking of your beautiful little boy, all your family and friends. RIP Kelly Marie absolutely heart-breaking." She added: "Rest in peace Kelly. Absolutely devastated for you, your little boy and your family and all your friends. Literally cannot get this out of my head. So many hearts hurt for you today girlie. Such a beautiful woman inside and out! I hope you find your peace now queen. Goodnight God bless Kell."
Police appeal for information
Merseyside Police appealed for information about the fatal crash. Sergeant Phil Everett, of Merseyside Police Matrix Roads Policing department, said: "Our thoughts are with the family members of the woman who sadly died following the collision late last night and they are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer.
"We are in the early stages of an investigation into this incident and it is now our priority to confirm exactly how the collision occurred. We know this happened late last night when many residents may have been inside their homes but if anyone saw what happened or were driving through the area just before the incident occurred then please get in touch.
"Similarly, if you live in the area and have doorbell footage of the incident, please contact us. You may have information or footage that could be vital to our investigation."
