Woman Blocked by Ex After Sleeping With Him 10 Years Later

Metro's sex columnist Sydney Summers has revealed how she was blocked by her ex-boyfriend on WhatsApp after sleeping with him for the first time in a decade. Summers, who bumped into her former partner Adam in a London pub, said she sent him a message the day after their encounter, only to see a single grey tick and realise he had blocked her.

A Reunion After Ten Years

Summers met Adam at university and dated him for three years, describing the relationship as "an absolute mess." She said they both cheated, had threesomes, and once filmed him having gay sex, which he tried to sell online. After splitting up, they agreed to block each other on all platforms.

Ten years later, Summers was stood up on a Hinge date at a central London pub when Adam walked in. She recognised him immediately, noting he was wearing a t-shirt from their time together. They caught up, unblocked each other's numbers and social media, and went back to his flat.

The Morning After

Summers said they slept together and it was "great," but when she texted him the next day, she saw only one grey tick and noticed his profile picture was gone. She checked Instagram, TikTok, and even Spotify, finding she was blocked on all of them.

She concluded that Adam "never had changed, and was always going to be self-serving," and said she learnt a lesson: "don't sleep with the ex you've blocked, there's a reason you blocked him." Names have been changed.
