A person has died after entering the water at Brecon Beacons National Park, prompting a large-scale emergency response involving multiple agencies. The incident occurred on Saturday, June 27, at the Waterfall Country area of the park.

Multi-agency rescue operation

Police, ambulance service, fire service, mountain rescue teams, and Wales Air Ambulance all attended the scene. Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team led the response, with assistance from Western Beacons and Brecon Mountain Rescue teams.

According to a statement from Central Beacons Mountain Rescue: "On Saturday, June 27, we were requested to assist in a multi agency incident in the waterfalls area recovering a person who’d entered the water. Sadly an extensive resuscitation operation was not successful."

Condolences issued

The rescue team expressed gratitude to all involved, including an off-duty paramedic who assisted. They extended "deepest condolences to all family and friends."
