Police have warned that a missing three-year-old boy will not respond to his own name being called, as more than 100 people have reportedly joined the search effort to find him.
Noah was last seen at approximately 3pm on Tuesday afternoon (September 15) in Suffolk. He is believed to have run off down an alleyway into a newbuild housing estate after visiting the playground in Merriam Close, Brantham.
Extensive search operation under way
Officers have launched an extensive search operation for Noah, deploying a helicopter and carrying out door-to-door enquiries in a bid to locate the toddler. More than 100 members of the public have also joined the search, though police have warned he will not respond to his name being called, according to the BBC.
He is described as white, with curly ginger hair, and was wearing a Bluey t-shirt, shorts, and white trainers at the time of his disappearance. Police have also confirmed he is non-verbal, partially deaf, and autistic.
Police thank public for support
In a fresh update late on Tuesday evening, a police spokesperson expressed gratitude to the public for their support. Responding to the original Facebook post announcing the search for Noah, a spokesperson for Suffolk Constabulary said: "Thank you all for your comments, it is overwhelming to read the support people are offering.
"I apologise that we haven't been able to reply sooner however I am sure you appreciate the volume of resources that are assisting with this and the sheer volume of contact from the public that our staff and officers are dealing with."
"As soon as there is any update, we will post on here. Thank you again."
Coastguard assisting and public urged to report sightings
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard said: "We are assisting Suffolk Constabulary with an incident at Brantham by sending an HM Coastguard helicopter and Coastguard Rescue Teams from Felixstowe and Holbrook."
