Two Women Killed, Boy Injured in Derbyshire Crash Named by Police

Two women who died in a car crash in Pleasley, Derbyshire, have been named by police as Amie Pearson, 26, and Chelsea Carlisle, 29. The collision occurred on Common Lane near Mansfield at around 6.20am on Thursday, November 27.

The crash involved a Vauxhall Meriva and a Suzuki Alto. Both women, who were the driver and passenger of the Suzuki, were pronounced dead at the scene. A nine-year-old boy also in the Suzuki suffered serious, life-changing injuries and remains in hospital.

Three men in the Vauxhall were injured, two seriously. An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and was taken to hospital due to his injuries.
