Emergency services were called to the A57 Snake Pass near Glossop just after 4pm on Saturday (August 1) following reports of a collision between two motorbikes.
Both riders were taken to hospital for treatment. One of them, a man in his 20s, is believed to have sustained serious injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening. The other, a man in his 70s, is not believed to have been seriously hurt.
Road closed at the scene
Police closed a section of the road, with ambulance crews also in attendance. An air ambulance attended the incident, according to eyewitnesses.
Derbyshire Police comment
A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called to a report of a collision between two motorbikes on the A57 Snakes Pass close to Glossop just after 4pm today.
"Both riders were taken to hospital for treatment. A man in his 20s is understood to have sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries, and a man in his 70s is not believed to be seriously hurt."
