Tributes have been paid to a 19-year-old woman described as a "truly special person" who was one of two teenagers killed in a two-car crash in Suffolk earlier this month.
Amelia Miller, from Stowmarket, died following the collision on Debenham Road in Little Stonham on Sunday, October 18. Emergency crews, including paramedics, firefighters and an air ambulance, attended the scene at approximately 10.15am after reports of a two-car collision.
Two teenagers pronounced dead at the scene
The incident involved a red Peugeot 107 and a silver Volkswagen Passat. Two teenagers travelling in the Peugeot were pronounced dead at the scene, while those in the Volkswagen suffered minor injuries.
In a joint statement released through Suffolk Constabulary, Amelia's family, Chris, Jo and Issac, said: "Amelia was a daughter, sister, aunty and cousin."
Family remember a 'truly special' person
"Amelia lost her life in a road traffic collision on the 18th October, she was only 19 and was so full of life and energy, a truly special person."
The family added that Amelia was a keen dancer before becoming a photographer, and loved heavy metal and rock music, as well as the occasional farming song. She loved the freedom of having a car, but her passion was motorcycles, and she used to go for rides on her 125 looking for photo opportunities, which would normally include bikes or animals, often being goats.
"Amelia left an impression with everyone she met. She struggled with the school environment but left with fantastic grades. She really blossomed around adults in the workplace environment with her sharp mind and wit."
Police appeal for witnesses and dash cam footage
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision and are urging any motorists who were travelling in the area at the time and may have dash cam footage to come forward.
