At approximately 5.45pm on Saturday, March 28, a white Audi TT was travelling south along Shore Road, situated between Garthorpe and Meredyke Road in North Lincolnshire. For reasons that remain unclear at this stage, the vehicle is believed to have left the roadway and collided with a tree. Emergency services were dispatched immediately to the scene of the wreckage.

Despite the rapid response, the driver, a 44-year-old man, the front seat passenger, a 48-year-old man, and one of the rear seat passengers, a 13-year-old girl, were all pronounced dead at the location. Two other young passengers sustained serious injuries in the crash. A nine-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were transported to hospital for urgent medical treatment. The girl's injuries are currently being treated as life-threatening, and she remains in a critical condition. The boy is also receiving care for his serious injuries.
