A devastating single-vehicle crash in the western Sydney suburb of Dharruk has resulted in the tragic death of one man and left five other individuals injured, including two young children. The incident occurred on Stuart Road late on Sunday afternoon, sending shockwaves through the local community.
Emergency Response and Fatal Outcome
New South Wales Police were alerted to the scene shortly before 5:20 pm on Sunday, following urgent reports that an SUV had collided with a residential property and become lodged in a tree. Upon arrival, officers discovered a harrowing scene: one man, believed to be a passenger in the vehicle, was found partially ejected from the SUV and pronounced dead at the location. The identity of the deceased has not yet been formally released, pending notification of next of kin.
Injured Victims Rushed to Hospital
In addition to the fatality, five other people sustained injuries in the crash. The injured include two adult men, one woman, and two toddlers, all of whom were transported by road ambulance to nearby medical facilities. The adults were taken to Westmead Hospital, while the two young children were rushed to The Children's Hospital at Westmead for urgent treatment.
According to an official statement from NSW Police, the adult victims are reported to be in a serious but stable condition.
