A 64-year-old man has died after being hit by a road sweeper on Cleggs Lane in Little Hulton. The collision occurred just after 8am on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Emergency services attended, and the road was cordoned off.

The driver, a 39-year-old man, was uninjured. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital but died later that afternoon. Greater Manchester Police confirmed the incident.
