Two lanes of the M60 clockwise carriageway have been closed following a crash this morning (July 27). The closure is between junction 16 at Pendlebury and junction 17 at Prestwich and Whitefield.
Queues and disruption
According to the Inrix traffic monitoring service, traffic is tailing back to junction 13 at Worsley. The M61 southbound is also affected. Firefighters have been seen in attendance at the scene.
A post on Inrix stated: "Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to accident on M60 clockwise from J16 A666 Manchester Road (Pendlebury) to J17 A56 Bury New Road (Prestwich / Whitefield). Lanes one and two (of four) are closed."
