All traffic is being held on the M57 after a van went up in flames, with delays of up to 30 minutes reported on the northbound carriageway.
The incident is affecting the stretch from junction 3 for Stockbridge Village to junction 4 for Knowsley. Footage shared on social media shows a van engulfed in flames on the hard shoulder as a fire engine arrives at the scene.

Traffic monitoring service INRIX reports: “All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident on M57 Northbound from J3 A526 Seth Powell Way (Stockbridge Village) to J4 A580 Moorgate Road (Knowsley).”
National Highways is currently reporting delays of up to 30 minutes.
