Television presenter Holly Willoughby has been handed a significant financial penalty and received penalty points on her driving licence after admitting to a driving offence that resulted in a collision with a moped rider.

Court Hearing and Guilty Plea

Willoughby pleaded guilty by post to a single charge of driving a motor vehicle without due care and attention. The case was heard at Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 2nd December 2025, though the 44-year-old former This Morning host was not present in person for the proceedings.

Court documents detailed that the incident occurred on 28th August near her home in the Richmond area of south-west London. Willoughby was driving her Mini Cooper on Church Road in Barnes when the collision with the moped took place.

Details of the Collision and Aftermath

Following reports of the accident, police were called to the scene. The rider of the moped, a 43-year-old man, required hospital treatment for his injuries.

Authorities confirmed that while the man was injured, his condition was assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

Financial and Legal Consequences

The Metropolitan Police outlined the full extent of the penalties imposed by the court. Holly Willoughby received a fine of £1,653 for the driving offence.

In addition to the fine, she was ordered to pay £130 in costs and a victim surcharge of £661. This brings the total financial penalty to £2,444.

Furthermore, the court endorsed her driving licence with six penalty points.

Willoughby is best known for her long-running role as a presenter on ITV's flagship daytime programme This Morning, which she departed in October 2023. She also co-hosts the channel's show Dancing On Ice.
