Holly Willoughby Fined Over £1,600 for Careless Driving

Television presenter Holly Willoughby has been fined more than £1,600 for careless driving after a collision that injured a moped rider. The 44-year-old pleaded guilty by post at Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court on Tuesday but did not attend the hearing.

The incident occurred on 28 August when Willoughby was driving her Mini Cooper near her home in Richmond, south-west London. Police were called to Church Road, Barnes, following reports of a crash.

The moped rider, a 43-year-old man, was taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening or life-changing. Willoughby was ordered to pay a fine of £1,653, court costs of £130, and a victim surcharge of £661. Six penalty points were also added to her driving licence.
