A family has paid tribute to a teenager who died following a two-car crash in Suffolk. Amelia Miller, 19, of Stowmarket, was the driver of a Peugeot involved in the collision on Debenham Road, Little Stonham.
Suffolk Constabulary was called by the East of England Ambulance Service at 10.15am on Sunday after reports of the crash. Two teenagers travelling in the Peugeot died in the collision, while the occupants of a Volkswagen sustained minor injuries, police said.
Driver Died in Hospital
Miller was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where she died of her injuries. Her family paid tribute to her on Thursday, calling her “full of life and energy” and such a “special person”.
“Amelia was a daughter, sister, aunty and cousin. She was a keen dancer before becoming a photographer. She loved heavy metal and rock music, as well as the occasional farming song,” they said.
Passion for Motorcycles
“She loved the freedom of having a car, but her passion was motorcycles, and she used to go for rides on her 125 looking for photo opportunities, which would normally include bikes or animals, often being goats.
“Amelia left an impression with everyone she met. She struggled with the school environment but left with fantastic grades. She really blossomed around adults in the workplace environment with her sharp mind and wit.”
Investigation Appeal
Miller’s male passenger died at the scene and has not been publicly identified. Anyone with information is asked to contact the joint Norfolk and Suffolk serious collision investigation unit, quoting 37/61603/26.
