An escaped cow caused traffic chaos on the M4 motorway after wandering onto the busy route, forcing drivers to swerve as it crossed lanes.
The animal was filmed trotting into the path of oncoming vehicles between junctions 19 and 20 near Bristol, leading to emergency services shutting down the westbound carriageway on Thursday 10 August.
Drivers faced delays of up to two hours as police and highways officials worked to safely capture the frightened animal, which had escaped from a nearby field.
A farmer who claimed ownership of the cow apologised on social media, stating that vandals had destroyed his fencing, allowing the animal to escape onto the motorway.
