A 12-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital after being struck by a car in an alleged hit-and-run in Bournemouth. The incident occurred on Holdenhurst Road shortly after 11.30am on Monday.
Police report that the driver of a white BMW 118 series failed to stop at the scene. The vehicle was later located following fast-time inquiries, and a man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the collision.
The boy was taken to hospital by paramedics with potentially life-threatening injuries. His family have been informed and are by his side.
